THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - With the season of giving right around the corner, one south Georgia non-profit is asking for help.
The Salvation Army in Thomasville is getting ready to register folks for their annual Christmas Assistance Program, and they need donations.
The program provides holiday meals, toys, and other assistance to families in need during the holidays.
"It's very important now because a lot of families have lost their jobs and they just really need help for Christmas. So I just encourage anybody that wants to help out, just call us here," said Social Services Director Toni Walden.
Registration for assistance runs from October 22nd through the 24th.
