DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -
Dougherty County Police want drivers to avoid South Mock Road near the Albany Marine Base because of a detour for railroad repairs.
South Mock will be closed at Short Street starting at 8:30 Wednesday morning.
Work on the railroad tracks across the road is scheduled to continue for the rest of the week.
Police expect delays as they detour traffic onto Short Street.
They suggest drivers avoid the area the rest of the week and that Marine Base employees use alternate gates rather than the main gate when possible.
