THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Two suspected drug dealers from Panama City, Florida bonded out of the Thomas County jail after a weekend bust.

Investigators say 25-year old Marcus Harper and 21-year old Allen Simpson were driving on 319 South just outside Thomasville Friday night when a deputy stopped them for weaving out of their lane.

The deputy called in a narcotics agent who found multiple bags of methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana, Xanax pills, and drug paraphernalia under the driver and passenger seats.

"We do know that that's how drugs are transported is up and down the highways. People are scared to get on plans now with it so now it's coming up and down the roadways. So we try to combat it that way too," said Narcotics Commander Kevin Lee.

Harper and Simpson each face four drug charges.
