A motorcycle club held a charity ride Saturday for victims of domestic violence.
Another Level Motorcycle Club held the all ladies ride to benefit the Liberty House. The Liberty House provides shelter and services for domestic violence victims.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and today each rider donated $10 towards the cause.
"We are doing this charity ride for the victims of domestic violence, the Liberty House provides a safe haven for their family and friends, and we just wanted to contribute to the cause," says Debra Favors, Organizer.
The Georgia Department of Public Health says there were eight deaths in Dougherty County and nine in Lowndes County related to domestic violence between 2009 and 2011.
