LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

A Tennessee man, staying overnight in Valdosta lost his truck, trailer, golf cart and dragster to thieves.

Here are photos of the stolen items. David Solomon spent the night in a Howard Johnson on North Valdosta Road Monday night.

When he awoke, his vehicles were gone.

He'd raced the night before at the dragway in Cecil and Sheriff's investigators believe someone within the racing community stole his truck and all his racing gear, valued at $250,000.

Dekalb County Police Officers recovered the man's Dodge truck, but the enclosed trailer, drag car, and golf cart are still missing.

"To be stranded here in Valdosta, that was unfortunate, but for him it was more unfortunate that he was completely placed out of the racing business because they took practically all of his equipment," said LCSO investigator, Troy Black.

If you have seen any of these vehicles the Sheriff's Office asks you to call them at 229-671-2950.
