ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Fourth graders from Deerfield-Windsor toured the new butterfly garden at Radium Springs Gardens Tuesday morning.
Students learned about different types of insects and plants and were able to get an up close an personal view how monarch butterflies transform through their different stages.
"It's really fun because we get to see all the butterflies and learn about plants," said Jackie Houston.
"We get to study the monarch butterfly and how it goes through all it's changes into a cocoon and then into a caterpillar a then to its butterfly position," said Josie Bekkers.
The Butterfly Garden will offer free tours on the first Saturday in October, November, and December.
