Those controversial political banners outside a Northwest Albany business we showed you earlier this week got the attention of code enforcers.

They told Richard Thomas he'll have to pay $30 for each banner every two weeks to keep them up.

Thomas told us by phone that he doesn't plan to pay that fee, but he will bring the banners into compliance by attaching them to more permanent wood or plastic signs.

The banners read, "The seals removed one threat to America, remove the other in November."

Thomas says the message is meant to encourage people to vote.

He says he is not comparing President Obama to Osama Bin Laden.
