Breast cancer kills thousands of people every year, and you can help find a cure.
Deatrice Harris was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 22.
She's now in remission.
She volunteers with the Cancer Walk in Sumter County each year and says it's about more than just raising money for the research that helped to save her life.
"To remember those we lost and to encourage the ones who are still fighting the fight. Just to tell them that we're here and we're support them."
Three hundred people took part in last year's walk.
Harris hopes for more this year.
