Georgia State Patrol says that pouring rains caused a six vehicle wreck that led to a traffic jam on I-75 Thursday morning.
Troopers got the first call around 12:40 AM on Thursday.
A pick up truck had a blow out on I-75 in Cook County just north of the Lenox exit.
The truck spun 180 degrees and blocked the center lane.
A tractor trailer then hit the truck.
A car then hit the tractor trailer causing it to spin...a second car then hit the first car...followed by a van hitting the second car.
Then a second tractor trailer hit the van...jackknifed...and went into a ditch on the east side of the interstate.
This caused all the northbound lanes to be blocked and traffic to be diverted to U-S 41.
The interstate reopened to traffic around 3:00 this morning.
Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported.
No charges will be filed.
