ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
While many of you watched the presidential debate at home, a downtown Albany business hosted a debate watch party.
About 20 people gathered at Chill Bar and Lounge as a part of its wine down Wednesday event, where business leaders get together and mingle.
The organizer says it's important for business owners to watch the presidential debates because whoever voters elect in November will have an impact on small businesses right here in Albany.
"Legislation directly affects us as small business owners, employees and citizens. We need to be abreast on what different candidates bring to the table and what that leads to, as far as where our country is going, so that we can stay on the cutting edge of business and start our preparation to be successful in the days to come," said Event Organizer Tosh Sebier.
There will be two more presidential debates. Sebier says the bar may host watch parties for them as well.
