DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

Dougherty County Police also are on the lookout for a man who ran away from a traffic stop early Wednesday morning, despite being tased twice.

They took out arrest warrants for 37 year old Alphonzo Winchester, charging him with obstruction and open container violation.

Police stopped 32 year old Shameika Harris' car on MLK Junior Drive about 1 AM. Winchester was a passenger who jumped out of the car and ran. Officer Thomas Couch tased Winchester twice as he jumped over a fence, but he got up and ran into the woods. Police don't know why he ran.

Dougherty County Police Captain Thomas Jackson said "Not at this time. From what I understand basically the biggest thing we had was these two individuals were drinking alcohol prior to being stopped. And that's what it led to."

The driver, Harris, was not charged with anything.

Police are still looking for Winchester.
