LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Republicans have a new headquarters in Southwest Georgia.

Tuesday, they cut the ribbon on the new Lee County and 2nd congressional District GOP Headquarters on Highway 19 in Leesburg.

Party leaders say the facility will be beneficial for republicans in Southwest Georgia.

"This is just a place that people have, where they can come and volunteer their efforts maybe with the phone banking or writing letters to the editor and doing different things to get the message out of the contrast between Barack Obama Mitt Romney because the ideology is completely different," said 2nd Congressional District GOP Chairman Brad Hughes.

Voters can pick up signs, bumper stickers and information on candidates at the new headquarters.
