ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Some South Georgia business owners say a new Georgia law that went into effect Monday will cost them money.

Online retailers are now required to collect sales tax for internet purchases.

State officials say the law will help collect millions of dollars in lost revenue.

One Albany business owner says the new law will hurt his already struggling business as online customers look elsewhere for a better deal.

"When China can sell something for $7 versus my $10, you'll probably pick the $7 item, but now it's their $7 dollars versus my $11 (with the new law)," said Valentino's owner Valentino Khairy.

Valentino says he's considering moving to another state to help his struggling online sales.
