The Albany State football is hoping a win over Kentucky State last week at Soldier Field is a just a sign of things to come in the conference.
The Rams are now 1-1 in the conference and will take on Lane in the Music City Classic in Macon this weekend. The Dragons beat Albany State by two points in Jackson last season before winning their next four games.
ASU hopes win over Lane will be the next step in another long winning streak but head coach Mike White knows the Dragons are no push over and they'll have to play better football to get another win.
Coach White said "Well Lane has some new personnel in and they are throwing the ball well and so we're going to have to play excellent defense and I think offensively to be successful I think we're going to have to run the ball again and kind of mix in some play action passes but we're going to have to play a lot better."
The Music City Classic kicks off in Macon at 5:00 p.m.
