TIFTON, GA (WALB) -
Victory seemed never in doubt as Tiftarea pitcher Brooke Keen sat down batter after batter in the Lady Panthers' 3-0 shutout region title victory over Sherwood Christian. Both teams came into the game with a 9-1 region 3-AAA record.
Tiftarea jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. The Lady Panthers added to its lead in the 5th inning when Lindsey Selph sent a laser to left for a base hit scoring Caitlyn Albritton from third base giving Tiftarea a 2-0 lead.
Tiftarea added another run before Keen secured the win. The Lady Panthers will now be a top seed in the state playoffs which starts on October 8th.
