Grady Co. Health Dept. holds flu clinic

CAIRO, GA (WALB) - A south Georgia Health Department is extending its hours this week to make sure everyone receives a flu shot.

This Thursday from noon to 6:30, the Grady County Health Department will host an on-site seasonal flu clinic.

Both the shot and nasal spray will be available at $25 per dose.

"The purpose of our extended hour flu clinic is so we can get out in the community and get as many people vaccinated as possible. We're also offering some other clinics out in the community as well at some of the schools and at some of the local businesses," said Public Health Nurse Cindy Palmer.

The health department accepts cash, checks, Medicaid, Medicare, and State Health Benefit plans.
