
Valdosta State rushed for 352 yards and tied a school record with seven rushing touchdowns as the Blazers defeated Edward Waters 58-10 in non-conference football action at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium Saturday evening. The win improved VSU to 3-2.
The 352 rushing yards marked the second-highest total in Valdosta State history, behind the 391 put up by the Blazers against Arkansas Tech on September 25, 1999. VSU also passed for 183 yards in the game and forced six EWC turnovers.
Valdosta State returns to action next Saturday, October 6 when it travels to Carrollton, GA. to face Gulf South Conference foe West Georgia at 2:00 p.m.
