ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

One south Georgia motorcycle club is raising awareness for Sickle Cell diseases.

The Precious Gems hosted a bikefest Saturday at Powersports Plus in Albany.

Dozens of clubs showed up to compete in different events.

Proceeds benefit the Albany Sickle Cell Foundation.

"We're here today at Power Sports for a two wheel cook off, scavenger hunt, and a car and bike show. Today's event was very successful and we want to thank all the bike clubs for coming out and supporting us in our event," said Precious Gem Rider Keisha Burkes.

The Precious Gems will be celebrating their third anniversary with a special event October 13th at VFW Post 2785 in Albany.
