Blombergh's family members arrested for trespassing

TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -

Six members of a murder victim's family are out of jail tonight after being charged with trespassing at a crime scene.

Sunday Blombergh's mother, sister, brother and three other family members were arrested yesterday for cutting branches on the spot where Sunday's body was found.

The young mother was murdered by her in-laws in 2010 and her body dumped on some property on Vickers Bridge Road in Colquitt County.

Land owner Brent Hyde asked them to leave then called sheriff's deputies.

Sunday's mother in law was convicted in Tifton just hours before the family members' arrests.

"The deputy that responded explained to Mr. Hyde about the trial in Tifton and the circumstances surrounding it but he still insisted the charges be brought," said Captain John Bass.

Blombergh's family members were released from jail on their own recognizance.

Sunday Blombergh's mother in law, Ruby Evans was convicted of her murder yesterday.

Her husband, Herman Evans, is already serving life in prison for the murder.
