Valdosta's new Teacher of the Year says a career switch led her to a job she loves!
Sallas Mahone Elementary fourth-grade teacher Lindsey Fox received the award last night.
Fox, whose taught for six years, says its the teachers at her school that taught her everything she knows.
"It's such an honor, those guys molded me into what I am today. I've learned from them, and so I feel like they deserve this award just as much because they have taught me what I am doing in my classroom," said Fox.
Ten other teachers were up for the award in the district. Fox will move on as a Georgia Teacher of The Year candidate.
