Fred Gee will be sentenced today in Quitman for murdering his girlfriend almost Iwo years ago.
31-year-old Julie Samuel was murdered inside her home in November of 2010.
Quitman Police immediately wanted to talk to 29-year-old Fred Gee, whom they said hit her then shot and killed her. Investigators found Gee's truck hours later in Monticello Florida on Lake Road.
Gee was arrested soon afterward, when investigators got a tip he and family member were in a truck parked on Minnow Road in Brooks County.
Samuel was the mother two children. No children were present when she was killed, but a friend and a cousin of Samuel witnessed the murder.
