Albany Police, Albany Dougherty Drug Unit agents, and gang unit officers continue an investigation that resulted in a SWAT raid and five arrests. It all started with a report of gunfire in public housing.

Police charged 21 year-olds Dominique Pittman, Detravious Britton, and Fredrick Allen with gang participation and drug and gun charges. Officers pulled them over after responding to a call about gunshots about 3 a-a.m. Tuesday at Dennis Homes.

Albany Police Corporal Prurince Dice said, "Based on the totality of the circumstances of the information that was gathered during this investigation, we are pursuing gang participation charges on these individuals as well as other charges that were incorporated by the Alban-Dougherty Drug Unit."

Those arrests led to a raid at unit 3 at Nottingham Apartments. Officers found marijuana and arrested 24 year-old Marcus Thomas.

They later pulled 32 year-old Derrick Moore over on Dawson Road. He had 12 outstanding warrants.

Investigators say more charges and more arrests are likely.
