An accreditation agency spent the day touring Dougherty County schools.
Several groups went around to eight schools, touring classrooms and conducting interviews.
The team from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools will be evaluating the school system on five core standards.
For the first time there's no chance of a probationary period to fix problems.
Wednesday the school board will receive a report of their visit. But it will be several months before school leaders learn if they earn accreditation.
