An autopsy was conducted today on a 19-month-old Albany girl who died early Sunday morning from a suspected drug overdose.
The Dougherty County District Attorney's office is leading the investigation into the death of Seanielle Washington.
First responders were called to an apartment on Hobson Street about 1:40 Sunday morning because the child was in cardiac arrest.
Investigators say the mother, Taneisha Harrell, was with the child in the apartment.
"The key part of this investigation is an analysis of the substances that might have been ingested by the child. And looking at how the child got it into her system," said Greg Edwards, Dougherty D.A.
No charges have been filed in the child's death as the investigation continues.
