Dougherty County Police presented their budget before the Dougherty County Finance Committee.

DCP Police Chief Don Cheek went over his 2012-2012 budget line by line with commissioners.

Cheek talked about his budget problems, solutions and ways to create more revenue. Dougherty County Police spends the most of their funds on fuel cost and the dispatch 911 center.

Chief Cheek says he's really working hard to make budget.

"We're trying out best to do everything we can to provide the quality of service to the community we've always done. We don't want to put any more burden on the community or the taxpayer," said Dougherty County Police Chief Don Cheek.

The Finance Committee will meet with DCP on Monday 8:30 to continue part two of going over next year's budget.
