CORDELE, GA (WALB) -
Cordele Police need your help to catch two men they think are behind a series of business break-ins.
The latest robbery happening at the Quick Buys convenience store on 24th Avenue on early Wednesday morning.
"It's kind of pitiful. I hate it that folks are resorting to breaking into stores and what not to get ahead," said Quick Buys store clerk Steven Lauren.
"The other (thief) comes up to the door and removes the lock cylinder out of the door. The suspects rush in both of them carrying backpacks. They empty out the registers, grabbed cigarettes and lottery tickets," said Cordele Detective Ketorie Sales.
And the crooks didn't stay around long.
"They are trying to beat the alarm system from going off, so they're pretty much in and out within 10 to 15 seconds," said Detective Sales.
Police believe the two men in this video are connected to more store break-ins around the city.
"It's a lot of similarities, the main thing is the method of entry," said Detective Sales.
As for Lauren, he has a message for the two men.
"I hope you can get jobs and quit acting like idiots man," said Lauren.
Now police need your help to put an end to this pair's suspected crime spree.
Both men are black, one about 5'8" and the other 6-feet tall.
If you think you recognize them, call Cordele police at 273-COPS.
