ANDERSONVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Friday is National Prisoner of War and Missing In Action Recognition Day. Their theme for this year is "We Will Never Forget".

Families of those missing in action and former POW's came to Andersonville Friday morning.

They joined together at the Andersonville Cemetery to lay wreaths for Major Bobby Marvin Jones and Staff Sergeant Stephen Geist.

Both men have been missing in action for several years.

This ceremony was to recognize their great sacrifice.

"It's an opportunity to spread the message and to honor them. We want to recognize them for their service," said Joanne Shirley, Sister of soldier who's been MIA.

Members of the Rolling Thunder from Florida and Georgia were also a part of the ceremony.
