VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -
Valdosta State is urging students to attend a voter rally on the campus' front lawn tomorrow.
The NAACP and VSU's Women and Gender Studies Department are holding the rally to urge students, especially minorities, to register to vote.
Local politicians will speak at the rally and there will be a booth for students to register to vote.
"Kids our age in general seem to be less politically active and we're just trying to encourage across the board kids to come out and register to vote and get active because things that go on and policies that get passed effect all of us," said rally organizer, Kathryn Norsworthy.
The rally will be between 11 and 2 tomorrow afternoon.
