If your homeowner's insurance rate hasn't increased recently, it might soon.
Insurance companies have paid for costly repairs after a lot of damaging storms in Georgia the last couple of years.
Now, insurers are passing on those costs to customers.
"Whenever you have an unusually large loss year, then there is going to be typically, not always, but typically there is going to be a premium fluctuation, when you have experienced losses over and above what was projected," Jay Kimbro, State Farm Agent.
Kimbro says weather is a huge variable that affects insurance rates.
