A sex offender on the run from Florida is in custody in south Georgia tonight after an hour-long high speed chase through four counties.
The suspect's car ended upside-down in a ditch at the corner of Broad Street and Oakland Avenue about seven o'clock tonight.
The chase started in Abbeville, Alabama. 26 year old Mathew Bozell was speeding in a car stolen in Palmetto, Florida. Fort Gaines Police picked up the chase at the state line.
Bozell led officers from multiple agencies through Clay, Calhoun, Baker, and Mitchell counties before crashing in Camilla.
He's on probation in Florida for sexual battery of a child 12 to 15 years old.
Bozell was listed absconded because he failed to register as a sex offender.
He's being treated for minor injuries at Phoebe Putney right now, then will head to the Clay County jail and will face numerous charges in Georgia.
