
The Darton golf team moved up in the standings in the final round of the Coastal Georgia Fall Invitaitonal at Sea Island.
Cavaliers golf coach Bill Jones, III was not satisfied with the performance of his young Cavaliers in their first tournament of the fall season.
Darton shot a 312 and finished in 6th place with a score of 911.
Lee University won the tournament with a score of 884 and Coastal Georgia finished three shots back.
Darton had the best score of any junior college in the field of mostly four-year schools.
Coach Jones says the team will be back on the course on Wednesday preparing for their next tournament in two weeks in Valdosta.
Valdosta State is coming home from the Brickyard Invitational Intercollegiate with an 11th place finish.
The VSU team finished with a score of 905.
Barry University won the tournament with a score of 857.
