ASU glad to be back at home

Posted: Updated:

After two long road trips to North Carolina and two tough losses, the Albany State Rams are glad to be back at home and glad to be opening SIAC play.

After two straight losses, the Rams are hungry for a win when they host the Miles College Bears.

Albany State is also looking for a little payback after Miles College upset the Rams in last year's SIAC championship game.

Albany State head coach Mike White says the Bears have most everyone back from last year's SIAC championship team.

That means the Rams will have their hands full on Saturday.

Mike White "Probably the first time in history I think we have ever played them where they are probably the favorite in the game. They bring back all of their personnel. They are a good football team. Being conference champs and coming back to defend it a lot of guys do remember that. You are going to have to go out and beat them."

Albany State hosts Miles College at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the ASU Coliseum.
