The Dougherty County Library Director has died. 36 year old Ashley Moore died of a heart attack last night.
Assistant Director Mary Antoine will serve as interim director.
Antoine says she Moore was a fierce leader and had a passion for libraries. Moore was appointed director in January, after serving as assistant director for 3 years.
Mayor Dorothy Hubbard, Albany says "it was just so shocking, I am so sorry to hear that, she was a young energetic person in our community and I would just want to say my prayer and condolences to her family."
Funeral arrangements for Ashley Moore have not been announced.
