MACON, GA (WALB) -

One of the hottest reality stars on television right now is a 7-year-old girl from Middle Georgia.

Alana Thompson is the star of TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."  She's a redneck pageant girl whose everyday life is captured on the show.

And whether you love it or hate it, Honey Boo Boo has hit the big time.

"You Betta Redneckognize," is Alana's trademark phrase. And millions do "redneckognize" this little second grader from McIntyre, Georgia.

When she stole the show on an episode of Toddlers and Tiaras, TLC "redneckognized" they had a star on their hands, and gave her the spinoff show, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."

Honey Boo Boo has a big personality on screen. Off screen, she's a curious and energetic little girl who makes a traditional news interview not so traditional.

When we asked "What's your favorite food?" She said "Guess."

"Um, cheese balls?"

" No."

"Pizza?"

" No."

" French fries?"

" Yep. And what else?"

"I don't know."

" Guess!"

" French fries and milkshakes?"

" No, but I do like to drink milkshakes. You didn't know it was McDonald's chicken nuggets?"

"You like chicken nuggets?"

"Yes. You should have known that."

And she's right. We learned that in the episode when her pregnant sister got an ultrasound!

"Check my belly to see if there's chicken nuggets in there! I think I see one in the middle."

Alana didn't want to put on our microphone, so Mom wore it for her.

"Girl, your hair's so pretty. But my camera is prettier," said Alana.

She did tell us about her recent boyfriend break-up.

"He cheated on me. I saw him kiss another girl in the hall at school. I walked by."

But eventually, the chair got the best of her and she ran off to see what our producer was doing behind the camera.

Mom June says she knows the show has critics. Even the rednecks complain the show makes them look bad. But it doesn't bother her.

"Some say they love the show, others criticize it, but they know everything about it. We call them closet fans."

The family knows the fame and money will end one day, but until they day comes, they're having a blast!

And they're grateful for all their fans.

"I love you," says Alana.

'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' airs Wednesday nights at 10 on TLC. And tonight, there's a three hour special called "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Family Sized." It starts at 8:00.
