The Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission will update the Dougherty County Commission on their Five Year Strategic Plan.
Commissioners will Consider for approval recommendation from the Public Works Committee to spend $19,885 to update the Financial Analysis of the Solid Waste Management System.
They will hear a request from the Public Works Committee to authorize the Solid Waste Director, Assistant County Administrator, and County Administrator to competitively negotiate for Special Projects for disposal in the C&D Landfill.
Wells Fargo Insurance Services Consultant and the Insurance Review Committee is asking that the Plan Amendments for the 2013 Year be approved. The amendments will allow:
a) Retiree plan changes due to inclusion of Coordinated Healthcare Services,
b) Prescription drug change to Employers Health Purchasing Coalition of Ohio (EPHCO),
c) Addition of Rx (prescription) benefit to Dental Plan,
d) Single deductible for durable medical equipment,
e) Transplant Coverage for travel/lodging expenses (of a companion),
f) Expanded preventive coverage for women, and
g) Healthcare reform mandated coverage changes.
Commissioners will decide if employee contributions for their insurance will go up. They ant to decrease the 2013 cost sharing arrangement for the County from 78% to 76% (Base Plan) and 76% to 74% (Buy Up Plan). Employee (EE) monthly premium rates will increase by the following amounts in both plans:
a. The Base Plan- $16.85 for EE only, $33.63 for EE + 1, and $43.65 for Family, and
b. The Buy Up Plan- $18.40 for EE only, $36.72 for EE + 1, and $47.66 for Family.
Changes are pending for the Dental Plans, increasing employee contribution for the 2013 Plan Year. One of the changes will decrease the Employer Contribution for Employee Only coverage from 100% from 80% and increase the Employee contribution from 0% to 20%.
The other Employee monthly premium increases will be: $4.66 for EE only, $5.94 for EE + 1, and $6.82 for Family.
The commissioners will hear reports from the County Administrator, County Attorney, and Commissioners.
