CAMILLA, GA (WALB) -
A man is in custody in Camilla right after an afternoon armed robbery.
Investigators say 23-year-old Hakim Worthy pulled a gun on a man on South Scott Street and robbed him then broke into a house on Preacher Street to hide.
Police arrested him inside this house. They're looking for the gun and the money he is accused of stealing.
"He was under the car port and when he turned around, a black male was standing there, had a pistol pointed at him, told him to give him his money and lay down on the ground, and be quiet," says Lt. Vernon Nobles, Camilla Police Dept.
Worthy is currently being held in the Mitchell County jail.
