Packers offense looks to find full gear

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Colquitt County celebrates homecoming with a team that is not usually a homecoming opponent.

The 8th ranked Packers welcome Carver-Columbus to the Hog Pen on Friday.

Carver is ranked #2 in AAA and have been a perennial power in AA.

The Tigers defeated Cairo for the AAA state championship five years ago.

Colquitt County head coach Rush Propst put together a tough non-region schedule because he wants his team to win the region 1-AAAAAA title.

The coach says the Packers offense has got to get better before region play opens in two weeks.

Rush Propst said. "Running the ball for minimal gains. I think we are only averaging 4.1 yards per carry. Offensively, not what a Rush Propst offensive team should look like right now. We have got some time to get it fixed but it is getting now or never."

Colquitt County goes for a third straight win when they host Carver-Columbus Friday.
