A Dougherty Co. jury convicted 36-year-old Kawaski Bush of armed robbery Thursday evening. his accused accomplice Larrious McCoy took the stand and testified against Bush.
Bush is a former member of WALB's Most Wanted.
The two were charged with stealing Marquis Garland's car and money in March 2011. McCoy says Bush held a gun on Garland during the crime. McCoy pleaded guilty earlier this week.
With a record of indictments that resembles a one-man crime wave, Bush, whom the District Attorney says is a recidivist criminal, has an extensive record, and will likely face mandatory life in prison without parole when he is sentenced later.
Kawaski Bush also faces a laundry list of charges, including the armed robbery of Juan Pena, and breaking into the home of Sean Petroff, and hijacking a 2004 Hummer from Roalba Buendia and Gennard Thomas in Putney in March of last year.
He also was indicted for the criminal entry of Gaynell Bush's Stephen Lane home the same day.
Bush escaped fro the Albany Transitional Center in 2008, and faces marijuana distribution charges also.
