Several law enforcement agencies were involved in a chase of a suspect who was wanted for a shooting death in Terrell County.

Police say the suspect, 23-year-old Jacory Jenkins, shot and killed his father, 63-year-old Robert Ernest Jenkins outside their home in the 1700 block of Chain Gang Road in Terrell Co.

The chase ended at Darton College where officers took Jenkins into custody.

Jenkins, driving a Honda Pilot was fleeing police in Albany when he drove on to campus around 9:30 this morning.

Terrell Co. Sheriff John Bowens tells WALB that several agencies were involved in the capture: Dawson PD, Lee Co. Sheriff, Dougherty Co. Sheriff, DCP, ADDU, APD, GSP, Darton PD, and Terrell Co. Sheriff's Office.

We have a crew in Terrell County and will have the latest on the investigation later.
