THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A hispanic church in Bainbridge is celebrating heritage and independence this weekend.

The Hispanic United Methodist Church will have food, music, and activities in honor of Mexico's independence.

Church Pastor David Diaz says all races and religions are invited to attend this free event.

"And I want to open doors, open hands, to the Bainbridge community and express our gratitude for this country because we are very excited to receive our families," said Pastor Davis Diaz.

The festival is Saturday night from 5 to 8 at the church on Tallahassee Highway.
