Dozens of first responders and military servicemen and women received a big 'thank you' Wednesday for putting their lives on the line for us.
9/11 survivor and restaurant owner Sunel Merchant offered a free Philly Connection lunch to those he considers super heroes.
One firefighter told us the generous act means a lot.
"It's amazing just to know that people appreciate us and we do. He's a great man for doing this and he doesn't have to," said Stephen Cannady of the Albany Fire Department.
This is the second year in the row Merchant has offered lunches on the house.
His restaurants in Auburn and Jacksonville did the same to commemorate the 9/11 anniversary.
