DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) -

Monday night, a little after 9:00pm, Trooper B. Stone from the Douglas GSP Post, attempted to pull over a car driving without lights on GA 31, near Highway 158.

The driver of the car, 59-year-old Terry Van Treece Wilson of Wray, GA sped up and led the trooper on a chase, which eventually ended up in a residential neighborhood.

Wilson hit the trooper's car near the intersection of McDonald and Ward Street. Wilson then hit a fence in front of a home on Bryan Street.

Wilson took off running, but was caught shortly after. No one was injured.

Wilson is charged with aggravated assault, reckless driving in addition to numerous other charges.
