The state released specific plans each college came up with to increase graduation numbers, Monday.

As part of the Complete College Georgia initiative, the Governor ordered all University System schools and Technical colleges to develop plans to raise graduation rates drastically.

Albany State University Officials say they'll work to retain more students by keeping a closer eye on their academic progress.

"We will look at advising, enhancing advising and doing more to monitor the progress of students by having closer interaction with advisors, faculty and student support services," said ASU Interim Provost Dr. Richard Green.

Dr. Green also says the university will try to recruit more students.

This plan will go into effect next fall.
