Thomasville Police Officers responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting Sunday night. Employees said the man pulled knife and began swing it at them. He then ran to a vehicle parked in the parking lot and attempted to leave however, but the car would not start, so he took off running.More >>
A Worth County Juvenile Justice Probation Officer is in jail Monday night, charged with burning his wife with a curling iron.
43-year-old Samuel Watts II is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and false imprisonment.
Dougherty County Police Investigators say Watts attacked 38-year-old Michelle Watts August 27 at their home, holding her down while burning her on her arms and legs with her curling iron.
The attack was not reported until September 5 and Watts was arrested Friday.
Investigators say it appears the wife suffered third degree burns, and is still recovering.
