THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Surveillance video shows a masked man spending several minutes prying open the front door of Game Pro Depot in Thomasville.

Investigators say Game Pro Depot has been burglarized three times in the last 30 days.

The video game store is just one of 34 properties in Thomasville to fall victim to burglars over the last month.

"This is a pretty high amount of burglaries in a 30 day period for us to investigate. And we're really trying to get information, trying to get these people arrested, and trying to get these burglaries solved," said Lt. Eric Hampton.

Police say in a residential burglary on East Washington Street, the thief forced his way in before relaxing and taking a shower.

That suspect also walked out with a flat screen TV. "Whoever this particular suspect is, is making themselves at home. In some cases they are actually eating food, laying down on beds, laying out on couches."

Other video shows a thief stealing a Kiwanis Club candy machine from the boiler manufacturer Cleaver Brooks.

Police are issuing a warning to residential and business owners.

"Make sure they have proper lighting around their houses at night. Make sure they secure their homes and their businesses both at night and during the daytime when they're away. And also notify their neighbors when they're not home to look out for their homes and their businesses," said Hampton.

Investigators say while they think Game Pro Depot was hit by the same burglar all three times, they are not sure if any of the other break-ins are related.

If you have any information on these burglaries, call Thomasville Crime Stoppers at 229-227-3305.
