Most of the power is back on at MCLB Albany now after a five-hour outage, and workers will be back on the job Tuesday. They were sent home early Monday.

A temporary voltage regulator caught fire around 11:30 Monday morning.

That regulator was installed Sunday night to give time for the permanent one to be rebuilt, and only 14 hours later it went up in flames.

Georgia Power was called to turn off the power so firefighters could put the fire out. Employees were sent home Monday afternoon.

No one was injured and officials are not yet sure what caused the regulator to spark.
