An Albany woman and her family are scared for their safety after thieves broke into their house and stole thousands of dollars worth of valuables.

It was a normal day at 543 Ebony Lane until Lashona Hudson came home to an unfamiliar house.

"When I came back home, the doors were locked, everything was just like I left it until I went upstairs that's when I realized when I got up stairs that all the lights were on," says Hudson.

That's when she realized her home was burglarized.

About 17-hundred dollars worth of valuables were stolen and she says she never thought she would be a victim.

"I just really didn't think it could happen to me because I've never had a break in. I've never had an issue like this to deal with."

But this break-in was unusual; no doors knocked down; no glass windows broken. Hudson believes they crawled through her tiny kitchen window.

"They up here in this little corner, they step up on this little chair, you can go right through this window in this chair, just like this. You know, that's crazy."

And she says the thieves had no right to break into her home.

"How would you feel if you worked hard for the things to provide for your children and somebody just comes and takes your stuff, take it from you, it's just like working a job for free."

Hudson wants police to find the thieves because she's scared for her families safety.

"It makes me feel unsafe, it makes me feel afraid, you know I don't feel like I did before we left."

Police are still investigating the case and searching for possible suspects.
