SYLVESTER, GA -

A Sylvester man is in jail, Friday, charged with the June murder of a 4-year-old boy.

21-year-old Deivon Lee-Arthur Hudson is charged with killing Julian English at a North Washington Street apartment June 29th.

The child was found unresponsive and died at Phoebe Worth Hospital.

Investigators recently ruled the death a homicide and say the boy was killed by blunt force trauma.

"He was disciplining the child by forceful acts. There are still some questions about what all really happened, but the child was in his care the day of the incident. Some injuries were obtained that day and subsequently he died that evening," said Lt. Ronnie Graddy with the Sylvester Police Department.

Hudson surrendered Friday afternoon on murder and child cruelty charges.
