Four suspects indicted for East Albany armed robbery

Posted: Updated:

A grand jury indicted four suspects in the June 25th armed robbery of an East Albany convenience store.

Prosecutors say Khidyer McDonald and Kendrick Powell went into Neighborhood Grocery on Johnson Road, pistol whipped a clerk, and stole money and his cell phone.

Angelica Kimbrough was charged with being a party in the armed robbery.

"There were a total of 3 persons who actually entered into the place. So there is an additional person, that is unidentified, that the state is seeking further information on," said Greg Edwards, Dougherty District Attorney.

Tamara Powell was indicted for tampering with evidence, accused of trying to hide evidence from police to protect her son Kendrick Powell.
