You've probably heard of a designated driver, but have you ever heard of a designated texter?
Nowadays some teens say they use a "designated texter" when driving with friends.
Crashes are the leading cause of teenage deaths.
One soon to be teen driver says he likes the thought of a designated texter.
"I think it's a good idea to keep young driver's safe at the wheel because you always have people texting trying to get your attention. On the road, the road needs to be your attention," said Zac Miller.
Anyone caught texting and driving in Georgia is subject to a $150 fine and one point against their driving record.
